Traveling with my husband and our two kids is one of the greatest joys of my life, and our trip to Lonavala was nothing short of magical. Nestled in the Sahyadri ranges, this serene hill station offered the perfect getaway from the hustle of daily life. When exploring things to do in Lonavala, we found ourselves drawn to spots like Tiger’s Leap, with its stunning valley views, and Bhushi Dam, where our kids had the time of their lives splashing around. We also made it a point to visit the picturesque Lonavala Lake and devour the town’s famous chikki, which became a family favorite snack.
After soaking in the natural beauty of Lonavala, we shifted gears to explore Punjab, a land that exudes energy, culture, and color. One famous thing in Punjab that we couldn’t miss was the Golden Temple in Amritsar. Stepping into this holy site felt surreal, with its shimmering gold façade and peaceful ambiance. Watching our kids enjoy the langar while surrounded by the temple’s serene beauty was a memory we’ll always cherish. Another must-do in Punjab was indulging in its rich cuisine, from buttery kulchas to the creamiest lassi – a true delight for all food lovers.
We concluded our trip with a visit to the Wagah Border, an experience full of pride and excitement. The energy of the crowd and the synchronized ceremony left us in awe. Whether it was the scenic attractions and tranquility of Lonavala or the cultural vibrance and flavors of Punjab, this journey was the perfect blend of relaxation and discovery. Traveling together allowed us to create beautiful memories as a family, and it reminded us why exploring new places is our favorite way to bond.
